The prep for this recipe can easily be done in advance. Cook your bacon (saving some of the drippings), and get your cabbage marinated. It only takes 30 minutes, but man, it’s so delicious I’d love to do it overnight to really suck in the flavor!

When you’re ready to cook, just grill it up for about 10-12 minutes and you’re good to go! Top with blue cheese, green onion and chopped bacon and devour!

So be different this 4th Of July! Offer up some grilled fruits or veggies, even this grilled cabbage; watch it go in minutes. Its different than the usual food you’re used to eating at a bbq, so your guests are going to gravitate towards it.

Plus, it will be the one thing they talk about on the way home, other than you’re awesome fireworks. Me on the other hand, I have a hand full of pop-its. So I think I’ll be trying to impress with the food other than my safe “fireworks”…
