Kicking Off My Weight Loss With Personal Trainer Food RECON

So like I had mentioned in an earlier post this week, I’ve put on a few pounds over the last year. I started 2015 off with the goal of losing 30 pounds, and beat that goal by -15 pounds! Yes, I gained weight…

So I was planning on starting this year, like millions of others, with getting back into shape and losing some weight. I received an email from Your Personal Trainer Food asking If I would like to partner up with them for this month and try out their Men’s RECON program and create a couple recipes while I’m on it.

I  looked into their program, and it appeared to me similar to other programs out there that send you pre-cooked meals that help you with weight loss. There food on their website looked appealing, and not having to worry about what I was going to eat seemed like a nice little break!

They supplied me with 28 days worth of meals that have now taken over my refrigerator, a simple work out plan, and guidelines for me to go by when adding to my meals (YES! They don’t let you starve!)

One of the main guidelines for the RECON program, is that I’m not allowed sugar, fruits (besides an apple a day), or any breads/starches). That scared me a little bit. I just got through the holidays loading myself up with breads and sugars, how am I going to get through this month!

The toughest part is going to be how to juggle cooking for the family and having separate meals myself. It’s already been tough, and with a fridge packed to the walls with food for the first couple weeks its hard to make anything that has leftover potential, but I’m hoping to figure that out in the upcoming week!

BTW… If you’re intested in trying out the RECON program you can get $100 your first order with Promo Code: DADWITHAPAN Awesome right?!

Well I’m on day 6 and so far so good! I’m liking the food so far, everything has tasted surprisingly amazing, especially since it’s all microwaveable. Plus, I can eat cheese, all the meats and eggs I want, so if I get hungry I just grill up a chicken breast or grab a burger protein style from in-n-out!

So over the next few months I’m going to document my weight loss journey, how I’m managing to lose weight, and recipes I’ve come up with along the way. I’m currently at 230, and I REAALLY want to get down to a low 200 by the end of march. I’ll be checking periodically, but this month I’ll also focus on the RECON program and how it’s working out for me.
