Spicy Seafood Stir Fry
Shrimp, Mussels, Scallops and fresh veggies. Add all that with a easy to make spicy stir fry mix, and you have a seafood stir fry dinner that is a great for transitioning into the fall season!
It’s felt like ages since I’ve made an Asian cuisine inspired dish. They’re so simple to make, lots of fresh and healthy ingredients, and I have no idea why I just haven’t thought about doing one!
Using some Japanese peppers, chili sauce, a little ginger and soy sauce, tossed in with fresh seafood and veggies. Spicy, savory, and super comforting!
I used bean spouts for my seafood stir fry, but if you feel like making this a little more “filling” I’d recommend adding some low mein, or may even udon noodles! I’m a huge fan of doing udon noodles that aren’t in a soup.
This is a kung pao meets stir fry dish with all our favorites in it! Feel free to add your on favorite proteins and veggies and make it your own!
Spicy Seafood Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1/2 tsp hot chili oil
- 1/2 lb scallops
- 1/2 lb shrimp
- 1/2 lb mussels
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup carrots sliced
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1 cup yellow squash sliced
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 1/4 cup dried japanese peppers chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced ginger, chili garlic sauce, hot chili oil, and set aside
- In a pan on high heat, add peanut oil and begin add vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes, then add seafood; stir in stir fry sauce.
- Stir in Japanese pepper and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until seafood is opaque and mussels are opened. Serve and enjoy!
