Mustard lined ground chuck, grilled onions and a secret sauce. These are all I need to make the best backyard grilled burger that is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Sure, this isn’t whiskey bacon burger or a baby back rib slider burger but when you’re doing a cookout, sometimes you want something that is going to please everyone and need to keep it simple.
And maybe provide a few fixins that have that extra oomph to it for those that want them.
I’m making a simple ketchup and mayo style spread with some sweet relish, and a little white vinegar for a zing. Then really taking my time on the grilled onions to get them beautifully caramelized but deglazing my skillet a few times to get them to soak up all that lovely flavor.
When making burgers, I LOVE using a little mustard on the burger. It adds flavor, plus gives your grilled burger get that crust built.
And onces its all put together with some of that spread and grilled onions. I’ll like to serve it with a little more of that spread on the side for dipping the fries.
It makes for a great backyard burger for the family or just for entertaining a large group of friends!
