Pepperoni Pizza Totchos
I don’t know how many more times I can watch that pepperoni commercial with the dude and his drum and trumpet dance without getting a little inspiration on my next recipe: Pepperoni Pizza Totchos!
Seriously, have you seen that freaking commercial? I pretty much hum the tune all day. Then crave pepperoni. Gotta hand it to their marketing team!
Pepperoni Pizza plus Tater Tots. It’s a match made in heaven. I busted out my nifty little pizza oven for the grill just to make sure I got my pepperoni nice and crispy.
I first toasted up the tater tots until they started to get fully cooked. Took them out and topped with a little pizza sauce, loads of cheese and topped it off with pepperoni.
Of Course there’s so much more toppings you could do. Keeping it simple as possible sometimes wins over the family in this house.
My Pepperoni Pizza Totchos, make a great little snack for the kids during the summer, and a great lazy Sunday food to throw on the table and keep everyone happy.
Throw a couple eggs on top and you may even have some sort of brunch type meal going on!
Pepperoni Pizza Totchos
Ingredients
- 1/2 bag tater tots
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 8-10 slices pepperoni as many as you want!
- 2 tbsp pizza sauce
Instructions
- In a sheet pan, heat up tater tots in the oven at around 400F for about 15 minutes. Bonus points if you have a pizza oven ('d say 10 minutes in that)
- Remove from oven, top with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni slices. Place back into the oven until cheese gets melted and bubbly and your pepperoni starts to get a little crisp around the edges. Enjoy!
