Ok, this is one of my favorite spring time meals: Shrimp Orzo Pasta Salad! Cooked Shrimp mixed in with fresh bell peppers and vegetables with a home made oil and vinegar dressing, is makes a great weekend lunch, or a side dish to bring to a barbecue!
You can definitely buy precooked shrimp. The issue I have with precooked shrimp is 1) It’s flavorless and most of the times already frostbitten and 2) It’s more expensive than raw shrimp.
It’s easier than you think to boil shrimp that is succulent and perfect for a shrimp cocktail or any dish that requires cold shrimp. In this recipe I’ll go over this method of cooking shrimp, but like i said earlier, feel free to use precooked shrimp!
