Gnocchi and Marinara skillet, is a simple to make gnocchi bake that is loaded with cheese and baked off to get a that beautiful golden brown cheese layer on top.
Preheat oven to 400F, and bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add gnocchi and cook for about 4 minutes. strain
In a small skillet, add gnocchi, marinara and mozzarella cheese. Stir until evenly incorporated, then top with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is golden brown
FOR THE SAUSAGE
In a pan of water add 4 Italian sausage links and bring up to a simmer. Turn off heat and cover. Let sausages sit in the water until the middle of the sausage reads 140-150 on a instant read digital thermometer.
Rinse pan and put back over medium heat with about 2 tbsp of olive oil. Cook until sausage is golden brown.
Slice and top over gnocchi skillet and garnish with fresh basil. Enjoy!
